Welcome Tourism Advisory Group

Tour Stafford works with the entire tourism industry in Stafford County to promote and grow tourism in the Stafford area. Stafford County Tourism hosts quarterly Tourism Advisory Group (TAG) meetings to discuss industry trends, marketing campaigns and promotions, resources, and other important topics.

Who can attend?  Stafford County business owners who operate a business within the tourism and hospitality industry.

Regional Resources

The Fredericksburg Regional Hospitality Council (FRHC): The Fredericksburg Regional Hospitality Council is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting, preserving, and enhancing the characteristics that make this region an attractive, interesting, and memorable experience for all those who visit. 

Membership is open to all businesses whose primary function is hospitality and tourism related such as lodging establishments, museums and attractions, restaurants, and special event facilities located in the City of Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania County, and Stafford County. Learn more.

State Resources

Virginia Tourism Corporation (VATC): The Virginia Tourism Corporation is the State of Virginia Tourism organization and offers resources to local destination marketing organizations and tourism assets.

VATC is offering a marketing fund matching program for Virginia microbusinesses.
The program is aimed at small tourism-related businesses with 20 or fewer full-time equivalent employees including boutique retail, restaurants, food trucks, small attractions, craft breweries, distilleries, wineries, boutique lodging and B&Bs, and events focused on shoulder season visitation. VTC is providing matching funds up to $5000 for businesses with a targeted, research-based marketing plan. Learn more.

Virginia Restaurant Lodging Travel Association (VRLTA): The VRLTA is a leading advocate for unifying the restaurant, lodging, and tourist attraction businesses in Virginia. They provide oversight and craft legislative positions for the areas that impact these industries. The VRLTA also promotes the hospitality and tourism industry in the Commonwealth through educational offerings, networking opportunities, the sharing of information, and other support.
