Rotary Clubs of North Stafford and Stafford Announce 5th Annual Via Colori® Stafford Street Art Festival
Saturday, September 27 – Sunday, September 28
10:00-5:00 both days
Location: Stafford Regional Airport
Address: 95 Aviation Way, Fredericksburg, VA 22406
North Stafford Rotary Club and Rotary Club of Stafford are proud to partner with Discover Stafford to host the 5th annual Via Colori® Stafford. Presented by B101.5 and sponsored by Tour Stafford and additional major sponsors, this annual art festival brings dozens of local artists together to transform the streets through large-scale chalk paintings. Internationally known 3D chalk artist Erik Greenawalt, aka The Chalking Dad, is our Featured Artist, and Bethany Ablondi is our Signature Artist will create a special VA250-themed piece featuring the scenic Aquia Landing landscape.
Enjoy live entertainment while observing the artists in action from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Saturday, September 27, through Sunday, September 28, 2025 (if rain on Saturday, becomes a one-day event on Sunday the 28th). You’ll also find community organizations and sponsor tables to visit, activities for children, food vendors, and a raffle to support Stafford County Public Schools.
The raffle will include a beautiful handmade queen-sized quilt; tickets to Riverside Center for the Performing Arts’ The Sound of Music; a Tour Stafford gift basket, holiday decor and additional gift baskets, and much more. If you are interested in donating an item to the raffle, please contact [email protected] before September 20.
How to get involved:
- Become an Artist: Register to create a 4 x 4, 6×6, or 10×10 square on your own, with a partner, or in a group. The deadline to apply is September 1, 2025. No fee to attend; all supplies provided.
- Become a Sponsor: Businesses, groups, families, and individuals are invited to sponsor an artist’s square. Your name will be prominently posted next to an artist’s creation and on the Square Sponsors board. The deadline to become a Square Sponsor is September 5, 2025. Funds raised by sponsorships ensure this event remains free to the public and participating artists, and support Stafford County Public Schools (SCPS) initiatives such as literacy, food and clothing for underserved students, art, and history.
- Become a Volunteer: Volunteers are crucial to making this an amazing, family-friendly event to celebrate the arts. Opportunities are available for setup on Friday, September 26, as well as 7:00-5:30 on Saturday, September 27, and 9:00-7:00 on Sunday, September 28.
- Become an Entertainer: Spots are still open for musicians, dance groups, and other performers to showcase their talents.
