Get ready – Stafford’s Fall Family Festival is back again, and it’s better than ever! Last year’s event has locals and visitors counting down the days until we get to kickoff fall once again with this annual event. This fun-filled day is a must for anyone looking to celebrate autumn in the heart of Stafford County. Here’s everything you need to know before you go to make the most of the exciting event: 

 

Event Details 

  • Date: Saturday, October 4th 
  • Time: 11:00am – 3:00pm 
  • Location: John Lee Pratt Memorial Park (120 River Rd, Fredericksburg, VA 22405) 
  • Admission: FREE! Some activities require pre-registration or a small fee 

 

What’s in Store

  • Great Pumpkin Derby (pre-registration required)

Know Before You Go 

  • Parking: there will be limited parking available. Early arrival is highly recommended to secure a convenient spot. 
  • Dogs: these four-legged furry friends are welcome to join in the fun! Well behaved dogs are allowed at the festival if they are leashed. Be sure to bring water for both you and your furry friend! 
  • Weather: this is an outdoor event, so be sure to check the forecast and dress appropriately for semi-fall weather 
  • Bring the family: with so many activities geared towards all ages, this festival is designed to be the perfect day out for families – big or small! 

 

Great Pumpkin Derby 

  • Deadline to Register: September 18 at 11:59pm

🎃The GREAT PUMPKIN DERBY is back! 

This one-of-a-kind event takes place only at the Stafford Fall Family Festival where contestants decorate their pumpkins and race them in a bracket-style competition. 

Want to sign up for the derby? Join our Great Pumpkin Derby Workshop on Thursday, October 2nd to receive your wheels & axles and spend the night decorating your pumpkin! 

Pre-registration is required and open until September 18 at 11:59 pm. Be sure to register online before then to secure your spot. 

Get ready to race your pumpkin at the Stafford Fall Family Festival.
