Location: Gari Melchers Home and Studio/Stafford Visitor Center Parking Lot

Automobile enthusiasts are invited to a monthly meetup in the museum parking lot the second Saturday of each month April-October, 2025 8 AM – 11 AM. Event is open to all makes, models and years. Coffee will be available for purchase. The Visitor Center will be open during the event. Museum buildings and grounds open for tours at 10 AM.

Join us for Stafford County’s Memorial Day Ceremony at the Armed Services Memorial. This special event will honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. The ceremony will feature a presentation by The Old Guard, the U.S. Army’s official ceremonial unit.

Join us this Memorial Day weekend for a special free showing of Taking Chance, a powerful film honoring the fallen. Based on true events, Taking Chance follows Lt. Colonel Michael Strobl (Kevin Bacon) as he volunteers to escort the remains of 19-year-old Marine Lance Corporal Chance Phelps home to Wyoming. Along the way, Strobl discovers the deep respect and gratitude of a nation mourning its heroes.
