Wine Tents Are Back at Potomac Point Winery
Sweater weather has arrived, and the best seat in Stafford might be a heated tent at Potomac Point Winery. The wine tents open today, October 22, 2026, with cheese boards, mulled wine, and a server who keeps everything coming. Start the group chat now, because these tents book up fast!
How It Works
Each tent is reserved for one party at a time, with room for 4 to 12 people. A server is assigned to the group for the whole visit, bringing food and pouring wine so nobody has to leave their seat.
Sessions run two and a half hours, long enough for a full spread of cheese, small plates, and dessert, plus a few glasses of wine.
What to Order
The menu leans toward food made for sharing: cheese boards and cured meats, hot bites from the kitchen, and sweets to finish. A few add-ons are worth planning ahead for:
Mulled wine: The winery’s grog is a good first order when the temperature drops.
Le Grand Cru platter: This is the most popular cheese and charcuterie board on the menu, and it can be pre-ordered so it’s waiting when the group arrives.
A wine cake: Birthdays and anniversaries become a little more festive with one of these for dessert. Orders need to be placed at least three days ahead.
Booking Basics
- Tent rental is $180, plus a food and beverage minimum that varies by day and time. Guests who book a Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday session that starts before 5 p.m. can use the code WEEKDAYTENT for $50 off the rental fee.
- Tents are available Wednesday through Sunday. Reservations open 30 days ahead at 9 a.m. through the winery’s Tock page, and weekend slots tend to go first.
- Arriving about ten minutes early gives the hosts time to open a tab and seat the group on time.
- Outside food and drink aren’t permitted, and the winery’s website covers the full list of policies, including cancellations.
