Stafford’s Star-Spangled 4th: Know Before You Go

Jun 25, 2024

Get ready to celebrate the 4th of July in Stafford with a day full of festivities, patriotism, and fun! This year, we have introduced new trolley stops to make your experience even better. Here’s everything you need to know before heading out:

Trolley Stops (NEW this year!)

We’re so excited to offer Trolley Tours of Fredericksburg’s services to make traveling between celebration locations easy and stress-free. Enjoy event celebrations at each of these locations:

  1. George Washington’s Ferry Farm
  2. Downtown Fredericksburg Visitors Center
  3. The Patawomeck Museum and Cultural Center
  4. The Eagle Parking Lot – for convenience and lighter traffic; no 4th of July celebration event happening at this location

The trolley will run throughout the day’s event from 10am to 4pm, with the last call at each location at 4pm.

Parking Information

Parking will be available at all trolley stop locations, however, we highly encourage attendees to either park at the Eagle Parking lot or downtown Fredericksburg, then take the trolley to and from each event site; there will be minimal parking at the Patawomeck Museum and Cultural Center and only handicap parking will be offered at George Washington’s Ferry Farm. This will help ease the flow of traffic and ensure a smoother experience for everyone. Parking is not guaranteed at any location.

Again, please note, George Washington’s Ferry Farm will ONLY be offering handicap parking. Plan accordingly to accommodate your needs.

For complete addresses, a map, and website access (and to make your day easier and hassle-free), visit our event-specific Linktree. Bookmark this link on your phone for quick, easy access. Signs with QR codes will also be displayed at each trolley stop and location, equipping you with all the information you’ll need.

Pratt Park Fireworks Spectacular

After a day full of activities, entertainment, and fun, join us for even more magic with fireworks to close out the day! For all details regarding the 4th of July Spectacular at Pratt Park, click here. Gates will close once parking is full, so please plan accordingly. Trolley will not drop off at Pratt Park. No entry or exit will be allowed after gates are closed.

Weather and Safety Tips

This 4th weather is predicted to be full of sun and heat in the 90s, so please bring plenty of water and sunscreen to protect yourself from any intense heat. Stay hydrated and take breaks in the shade whenever possible.
