Stafford County, Virginia is excited to launch Northern Virginia’s first Visitor Smart City Kiosk, aimed to provide an instant digital experience to visitors.
As one of the first in the Commonwealth, this self-service kiosk offers a new interactive planning tool for visitors and area residents, with quick access to exploring the Stafford area. With the click of a button, visitors have the ability to scroll through a list of nearby attractions, restaurants, places to stay, and events in the Stafford area. Users can then customize an itinerary based on their specific preferences, and have it instantly emailed or texted directly to their phones. Users can also take advantage of the photo booth by snapping a picture and instantly email it directly to yourself.
Stafford’s Visitor Smart City Kiosk experience is part of an evolving initiative with the Virginia Smart Community Testbed to deploy several self-service kiosks around the Stafford community.
The first Visitor Smart City Kiosk in Stafford can be found at the Stafford’s Visitor Center located at Gari Melchers Home & Studio at Belmont.
While visitors and residents can explore and plan their trip ahead of time using Stafford’s Tourism website at www.TourStaffordVA.com, the Visitor Smart City Kiosk experience offers a new on-site option for people to learn more about the area while they are already here exploring and looking for activities.
