Celebrating Martin Luther King, Jr. 

The Stafford NAACP, with support from the Stafford Museum, will host “Celebrating Martin Luther King, Jr.” beginning at 2 pm on Sunday, January 15 at The Historic Rowser Building, 1739 Richmond Hwy. in Stafford, Va.

In honor of the power of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s spoken and written words, excerpts of his speeches and written work will be presented and briefly commented on by a few passionate and dynamic pastors in the community, including Rev. Joshua Cole, Bishop Leonard Lacy, Rev. Lisa Logan and Rev. Cynthia Davis. Paulette Tucker will serve as the master of ceremony. The tribute will include a performance by blues singer Gaye Adegbalola, liturgical dancers, soloists, choirs, music by Rev. Carl Armstrong and a presentation to 100+ year old black churches in Stafford, Va. Refreshments will also be served.
