Stafford has many special event locations perfect for your family, school or military reunions. From military museums, pastoral retreats and historic sites, to parks, golf clubhouses and conference facilities, we have the ideal venue to meet your needs. The surrounding community offers high-quality lodging, a variety of dining, and tourism amenities and attractions to provide for your reunion guests' every need. Aquia Landing Park

Open year-round, this historic site and popular park offers a riverside beach, sunbathing, fishing, picnicking, volleyball, food concessions and swimming (NO lifeguard on duty). Two large shelters are available to rent for special events (540-658-5019 to reserve). Alcohol is not permitted.  Visit www.StaffordParks.com for park hours, amenities, and reservations.

Augustine Clubhouse

Augustine's lovely A-framed, timber-lined banquet room with fireside dining is perfect for any occasion.  Amenities include a veranda overlooking the pristine course and beautiful landscaping, as well as a full-service bar.  Augustine specializes in corporate outings and special occasions.

Curtis Park

Curtis Memorial is a beautiful wooded park with nature trails, picnic shelters (by reservation), a baseball diamond, a playground, a skateboard park, sand volleyball courts, tennis courts, an Olympic-size swimming pool with diving area ($ fee), a zero-depth entry wading pool with water umbrella for children ($ fee), a 91-acre fishing lake and an 18-hole public golf course ($$).

  • Skateboarding Park:  Ramps & Rails.  Protective gear strongly recommended.  Bikes are NOT permitted.  Foul language will not be tolerated.  Closed during inclement weather and some holidays.
  • Pool:  Diving area, wading pool, water umbrella, concession stand.  Open Memorial Day to Labor Day.
  • Picnic Shelters:  Ideal for reunions, company or church picnics, wedding receptions.  Available for rent April - October.  Call 540-658-5019 for reservations & fees.

Gauntlet Clubhouse

 A lovely veranda wraps around two sides of the clubhouse overlooking the course, accommodating additional seating and reception space.  The banquet room is ideal for military formals, reunions, weddings, and special banquets.

Marine Corps Museum Meeting Facilities

This incredible museum and amazing architecture is an ideal place to hold many functions.  From military reunions and formal banquets, to weddings and business meetings - the National Museum of the Marine Corps can accommodate your group's unique function.  Most exclusive meeting space is available in evenings only.

Patawomeck Park

At this beautiful new park facility, enjoy football / soccer fiels, softball fields, playground, open recreational space, trails perfect for walking and biking, and picnic pavilions.  Permanent restrooms are on-site, along with a human and pet water fountain.  For picnic shelter fees and reservations, call 540-658-5019.

Potomac Point Winery Banquet Facilities

This beautiful, Mediterranean-style winery opened in spring 2007.  The estate includes a tasting room, internal courtyard, pavilion, veranda and event room.  A special cellar acts as both a barrel room, as well as a romantic dining room for elegant meals, tastings and special functions.  The vineyard grounds are ideal for corporate meetings, reunions, weddings, barbecues and picnics.  Room ambience and guest capacities vary.

Pratt Park (John Lee Pratt Memorial)

John Lee Pratt Park is a spacious community park that boasts many amenities:  Picnic shelters, grills, tennis and basketball courts, 10 soccer fields, a baseball field, Frisbee disc golf course, horseshoe pit, playground areas, restrooms, nature trails, one-mile gravel track, and one-mile paved hike/bike trail.  Reservations are required for picnic shelters.  Call 540-658-5019 for fees and reservations.

Riverside Center Conference Facility

Riverside Center Dinner Theater & Conference Facility is ideal for numerous occasions, such as military formals and reunions, weddings and business conferences.

Rock Hill Plantation House

Nestled in the gentle folds of northwestern Stafford’s undulating countryside, the house and grounds have all the advantages of a rural, pastoral setting yet remains easily accessible to Interstate 95, Route 17 and close to Fredericksburg. Located within the Grounds are three ponds and a spacious Gazebo, plus a tastefully appointed Carriage House Conference Hall with a large Veranda overlooking a pool with fountain.

Rowser Complex

This historic former school building was dedicated in 2007 and named in honor of Ms. Ella Rowser, an African-American history and English teacher who later served as a guidance counselor and principal of the Stafford Training School for African-American students.  This school and government complex, which has been renovated for community use, is ideal for small meetings, group conferences and weddings.  It offers multipurpose / meeting rooms, a commercial kitchen, and an arts & crafts room.  Call 540-658-5019 for rental fees and reservations.

Smith Lake Park

This 17-acre site located on Doc Stone Road in Northern Stafford features three baseball diamonds (all lighted and irrigated) and two synthetic turf rectangular athletic fields (with lights).  Other amenities include one large and one small picnic shelter, paved trails, a playground, and a restroom/storage building.  Please call for picnic shelter fees and reservations at 540-548-5019.

St. Clair Brooks Park

St. Clair Brooks Park boasts 80 acres of wooded parkland.  Amenities include picnic pavilions, grills, a skate park, basketball courts, a sand volleyball court, horseshoe pit, skate park, two baseball fields, football field, nature trails, playground equipment and restrooms.  It is located on Butler Road (Route 212) between Route 1 and the YMCA.  Call for shelter fees and reservations at 540-658-5019.

Studio Pavilion at Belmont

Consider Belmont - Gari Melchers' Home and Studio - as the setting for your next retreat, off-site meeting, wedding or group event.  Situated in an elegant woodland setting, the stunning Studio Pavilion meeting facility at Belmont is connected to the artist’s original studio building, and opens onto the estate lawn with the home, flower gardens, and charming summer house overlooking the Rappahannock River.  This site is ideal for outside weddings, but equally inviting for indoor meetings with a walk-out veranda onto the estate lawn.

The Globe & Laurel Restaurant

The Globe & Laurel is dedicated to the traditions of our Corps of Marines, and honors all men and women who wear a uniform or badge in service to this great country.  Marines and law enforcement officers - past and present - meet, dine and celebrate special occasions here.  The Globe & Laurel is the ideal location for a military reunion, Marine Corps ball, or special function.  Full of military and law enforcement memorabilia, the atmosphere is much like a museum, serving proud history alongside fine cuisine.  Very nice pub atmosphere, located only two miles south of the National Museum of the Marine Corps and 1/2 mile from Quantico's back gate.
