Sample Itinerary

The Stafford Tourism Office will be glad to assist you in designing an itinerary that meets the needs of your Marine Reunion group.  Whether it is an all-Marine event, or one that includes spouses and families, Stafford has many options.  Below is a sample itinerary.  Please contact our office for a free, customized itinerary, and free assistance in making your reservations.

DAY 1 - Thursday
  1500  Check in to hotel
  1800  Evening social in the lounge

DAY 2 - Friday
  0700  Complimentary breakfast
  0800  Board motorcoaches
  0900  Attend OCS graduation at Quantico
  1100  Shop at the Marine Corps Exchange
  1230  Lunch in the Museum's Tun Tavern or Chow Hall
  1330  Tour National Museum of the Marine Corps
  1630  R&R at the hotel / Free time
  1800  Dinner at The Globe & Laurel Restaurant
  2030  Return to hotel

DAY 3 - Saturday
  0700  Complimentary breakfast
  0830  Board motorcoaches
  0900  Opt. #1 - 18 holes at Augustine Golf Club
  0900  Opt. #2 - Tour Gari Melchers' Home & Studio
  1200  Lunch at local restaurant
  1330  Opt. #1 - Tour Chatham, an NPS Civil War site
  1330  Opt. #2 - Cellar Tour at Potomac Point Winery
  1600 R&R at the hotel / Free time
  1800  Dinner & Show at Riverside Dinner Theater
  2230  Return to hotel

DAY 4 - Sunday
  0700  Complimentary breakfast
  0830  Board motorcoaches for Washington, D.C.
  0930  Tour national monuments
  1230  Break for lunch
  1330  Continue national monument tour
  1630  Return to hotels OR shuttle directly to airport

HELPFUL HINT:  Did you know you can reach D.C. by train from Stafford? 
The VRE commuter trains run north on weekday mornings, and return in the afternoons.  Avoid the traffic, parking, and expensive city hotels by staying in Stafford for your next Marine Reunion.  Hop a train to D.C. at the Brooke VRE Station!
